CLUB REPORT 2019-2020

CLUB INAUGURATION

Date    : 08.08.2019

Venue :San Jose Seminar Hall

Time   :  4.30 PM – 5:30 PM

 The “ WINGFI” of 2019-2020 was initiated by Mrs.s. selvarani  Head Department of BCA. The main motive of the club “WINGFI” is to empower the skills and to build a healthy relationship among the students. This is a good platform to expose talents and to mould our personality. The inaugural address was given by Dr. Britto raj. He motivated us with his own experience which made us to empower ourselves. His speech invoked our hidden talents and it was thought provoking session. The office bearers of our club took charge of their duties by taking oath. The session was so interesting and interactive and got a clear view of our goals. Following that, the office bearers were elected.

Students were given individual badges bearing the club name and the department union members were given the badges by our Head of the Department, Mrs.S.Selvarani Mam bearing their name and their post for President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Joint Secretary.

GUEST LECTURE:

A Guest lecture on “SUCCESS IS A JOURNEY NOT A DESTINY” was delivered by Ms.Archana Rajesh, Director, First Source, Bangalore on 22.08.2019. This session is organized to enable the students to build self-confidence. The main agenda of the speech is success occurs when preparation meets opportunity. Now, opportunities will undoubtedly present themselves with time, but how are you treating yourself through all of the time sent in preparation for accomplishing your goals in meantime. The major aspect of the success equation has to do with being GOOD to you. Treat yourself with kindness and encouragement along your life journey. It’s important to celebrate all victories large and small on the journey toward fulfilling your dreams. She ended up by saying this line “HAVE FAITH and always believe that you will achieve anything you set out to do”. At the end of the session students were positively motivated. All the BCA students were actively participated in this session.

 GROUP DISCUSSION:

Venue : SM Block

Time   :  10.00 AM – 11:30 AM

On this day all the students of BCA gathered in front of SM block. The students were divided into ten groups and they volunteered with different ideas and facts. Students from each group was given chance to speak. Those discussions were really interesting and all the students actively participated in the discussion. Finally, each representative from all the groups gave an motivational speech to their teammates for encouraging their participation for the upcoming events that is to be held on the coming club meet.

 It was very useful for the students to know how to co-operate and co-ordinate in team and to learn about various activities of BCA  club.

 QUIZ EVENT:

Time   : 10 A.M – 12 P.M

On this day, Students of BCA were assembled in SanJose Seminar hall. They were separated into groups according to their team and discussed regarding the preparation of Quiz show. One student from each year were selected for participating quiz event. Office bearers conducted prelims for all the team members. They sorted five teams for final round. Finally the winners of the quiz event announced by the judges.

PUZZLE

Date   :05.11.2019

Venue: SanJose Seminar Hall

Time   : 10 A.M – 12 A.M

On this day, Students of BCA were assembled in SanJose Seminar hall. They were separated into groups according to their team and discussed regarding the preparation of Puzzle show. One student from each year were selected for participating quiz event. Office bearers conducted prelims for all the team members. They sorted five teams for final round. Finally the winners of the puzzle event announced by the judges.

ADD ACT:

Date   : 09.11.2019

Venue: SanJose Seminar Hall

Time   : 10 A.M – 12 A.M

On this day, All the students of  BCA  were assembled in  Sanjose Seminar hall for participating Add Act event. They were separated into groups according to their team and discussed regarding the preparation of Add Act event. From each team six students were selected. Office bearers were insisted the team members to pic the lot to perform the task. They sorted ten teams for final round. Finally the winners of this event announced by the judges.

GUEST LECTURE:

A Guest lecture on the topic “PROJECTS-A RIGHT DIRECTION” was delivered by Ms. L. Senthil Lakshmi, Executive Director, Tandam Infotech, Madurai on 23.11.2019 at San Jose Seminar Hall. This session is organized to enable the students to do their projects on their own.All III BCA students were actively participated in this session.

 During the session, she explained the importance of Project in general, and the implementation of the concepts and the tools. He enlightened upon the skills set required by the project external and how to manage the project group. She also shared her personal industrial experience with the audience in managing project. Undoubtedly this session was an eye opener for all the students over there. At the end of the session students were asked many queries and clarify their doubts. It is a start for a brighter future, and one way to make a living. The feedback taken for the session was motivating for them as suggestions were there to conduct more similar sessions in the future in different subjects areas. We are thankful to the Guest Faculty, and the students for the smooth conduct of the session.

On this day, Students of  BCA were assembled in  SanJose seminar hall. A  Guest  lecture  on “Graphic designing  & animation” was delivered by Ms. K.A.Thanga Rajeswari, Project Manager, Dreamzone on 10.12.2019.This session was all about current trend that prevails in IT industry. Also, the disruptive technologies that create uncertainty for functional existence were explained in detail. Our BCA students had some useful inputs through this session and  this session was more interactive helps them to reveal their talents. The lecture with the interesting  examples are great and helpful.

At the end of the session, students were asked many queries and clarify their doubts. It helps them to energise a crowd and inspire them.          

HAIRDO:

Date   : 07.01.2020

Venue:  SanJose Seminar Hall

Time   : 10 A.M – 12 A.M

On this day, All the  BCA Students were assembled in  SanJose Seminar Hall.They were separated into groups according to their team and discussed regarding the preparation of hair do event. Two students from each team were selected for participating hair do event. Office bearers were instructed the rules and regulations to the participants.  Finally the winners of this event announced by the judges.

Meanwhile participants shared their ideas about hair do with remaining students  and motivate them to participate in future events. This is a wonderful opportunity given for the students to come in front and present something useful and important to all.

MEHANDI

Date   :08.02.2020

Venue: SJ SEMINAR HALL

Time   : 10 A.M – 12 P.M

On this day, All the students of  BCA  were assembled in  Sanjose Seminar hall for participating Mehandi event. They were separated into groups according to their team and one student from each team  were selected for doing Mehandi. Office bearers were insisted the team members to finish the task within a time period. Finally the winners of this event announced by the judges.
